A tow truck is a recovery vehicle built to lift, secure, and transport disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles. Configurations scale with the work: wheel-lift units cradle the drive wheels for quick light-duty tows, rollbacks and flatbeds winch a vehicle onto a hydraulic tilt deck so nothing touches the road, and integrated heavy wreckers and rotators use boom and underlift assemblies to recover loaded tractor-trailers, buses, and overturned equipment. The core customers are towing and recovery operators, roadside assistance and motor club contractors, and police-rotation and impound services — with dealerships, repair shops, fleet operations, auto auctions and vehicle transporters running their own units as well.
